Creamy Mac and Cheese
(1 Servings)What you’ll need
1 | 75 g elbow macaroni |
2 | 150 ml water |
3 | 50 ml milk |
4 | 50 g cheddar cheese, grated |
5 | 10 g butter |
6 | Salt, to taste |
7 | Pepper, to taste |
8 | A pinch of paprika (optional) |
How to make it
In a small pot, bring 150 ml of water to a boil. Add the 75 g of elbow macaroni and a pinch of salt. Cook for about 8-10 minutes until the pasta is al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking—your patience will be rewarded with perfect pasta!
Once the macaroni is cooked, drain any excess water, but leave a tablespoon or so in the pot for extra creaminess. Add 50 ml of milk and 10 g of butter to the pot, stirring until the butter melts and everything is well combined.
Lower the heat and mix in the 50 g of grated cheddar cheese. Stir continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy and smooth. If you’re feeling adventurous, sprinkle in a pinch of paprika to elevate the flavor and add a lovely color to your dish.
Season with salt and pepper to taste, then give it one last stir to ensure every macaroni piece is coated with that cheesy goodness.
Serve hot in a cozy bowl, and enjoy the warmth of this classic dish!
