Chocolate Walnut Pancakes
(1 Servings)What you’ll need
1 | 50 g all-purpose flour |
2 | 1 large egg |
3 | 30 ml chocolate syrup |
4 | 25 g walnuts, chopped |
5 | 5 ml vanilla extract |
6 | 15 g sugar |
7 | 1 g baking powder |
How to make it
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and baking powder until well combined. This dry mix will form the fluffy base of your pancakes.
In another bowl, beat the egg and then mix in the chocolate syrup and vanilla extract. Stir until everything is blended into a smooth mixture that smells heavenly.
Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, gently folding them together until just combined. Don’t overmix; a few lumps are perfectly fine!
Fold in the chopped walnuts, which will add a lovely crunch and nutty flavor to each bite.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with a touch of oil or butter. Pour in the batter to form a pancake, about 10-12 cm in diameter.
Cook for 2-3 minutes or until bubbles form on the surface, then carefully flip it over and cook for another 2 minutes until golden brown.
Remove the pancake from the skillet and serve warm, drizzled with extra chocolate syrup and a sprinkle of walnuts on top.
Chef’s secrets
For an extra touch of richness, add a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream on top before serving!
If you like your pancakes a little sweeter, feel free to adjust the amount of sugar to your taste.
