Red Chimichurri
(1 Servings)What you’ll need
1 | 30 g fresh parsley, finely chopped |
2 | 15 g fresh oregano, finely chopped |
3 | 1 small garlic clove, minced |
4 | 30 ml red wine vinegar |
5 | 60 ml olive oil |
6 | 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste) |
7 | Salt, to taste |
8 | Black pepper, to taste |
How to make it
In a small bowl, combine the finely chopped parsley, oregano, and minced garlic.
Add the red wine vinegar to the herb mixture and stir well to combine.
Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while stirring continuously to emulsify the sauce.
Mix in the red pepper flakes, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Let the chimichurri sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving.
Chef’s secrets
For a smoother texture, you can blend the ingredients in a food processor instead of chopping them by hand.
Store any leftover chimichurri in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Enjoy!
