Creamy Mozzarella Pasta
(1 Servings)What you’ll need
1 | 75 g pasta (your choice, like penne or spaghetti) |
2 | 50 ml heavy cream |
3 | 50 g mozzarella cheese, diced |
4 | 1 clove garlic, minced |
5 | 1 tbsp olive oil |
6 | Salt, to taste |
7 | Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste |
8 | Fresh basil leaves, for garnish |
How to make it
Boil the Pasta: In a medium pot, bring salted water to a boil and add your pasta. Cook according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Don’t forget to reserve a splash of pasta water before draining!
Sauté the Garlic: While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a small pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Create the Cream Sauce: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine with the garlic. Let it simmer gently for about 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Add the Cheese: Stir in the diced mozzarella cheese, allowing it to melt into the creamy sauce. If the sauce feels too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to achieve your desired consistency.
Combine: Once your pasta is ready, drain it and add it directly to the sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta is beautifully coated with the creamy, cheesy goodness. Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste.
Garnish and Serve: Plate your creamy mozzarella pasta and finish with fresh basil leaves. A sprinkle of extra cheese on top won’t hurt either!
