Macaroni and Cheese

2 | 200 ml water |
3 | 50 ml milk |
4 | 30 g cheddar cheese, grated |
5 | 1 tbsp butter |
6 | 1/4 tsp salt |
7 | 1/4 tsp black pepper |
8 | 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional) |
How to make it
Cook the macaroni: In a small saucepan, bring 200 ml of water to a boil. Add 50 g of macaroni and 1/4 tsp of salt. Cook for about 8-10 minutes or until the macaroni is al dente. Drain and set aside.
Make the cheese sauce: In the same saucepan, melt 1 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Once melted, lower the heat and add 50 ml of milk. Stir in 30 g of grated cheddar cheese, black pepper, and garlic powder (if using) until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.
Combine: Add the drained macaroni to the cheese sauce. Stir well to coat the macaroni evenly with the cheese sauce.
Serve: Transfer the macaroni and cheese to a bowl and enjoy your delicious dish!
