Garlic Butter Mushroom Pasta
(1 Servings)What you’ll need
1 | 75 g pasta (your choice, like spaghetti or penne) |
2 | 100 g mushrooms, sliced |
3 | 1 clove garlic, minced |
4 | 1 small onion, finely chopped |
5 | 15 g butter |
6 | 1 g black pepper powder (about a pinch) |
7 | 1 g salt (to taste) |
8 | 5 g sesame seeds |
How to make it
Cook the Pasta: In a pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. This usually takes around 8-10 minutes. Once done, reserve 30 ml of the pasta cooking water and drain the rest.
Sauté the Vegetables: In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until it becomes translucent. Then, toss in the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking for another 5 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and golden.
Combine and Flavor: Once the mushrooms are cooked, add the drained pasta to the skillet. Pour in the reserved pasta water to help create a luscious sauce. Sprinkle in the black pepper and salt, stirring everything together to ensure the pasta is well coated and fragrant.
Finish with Sesame Seeds: Just before serving, sprinkle the sesame seeds over the pasta and give it a gentle toss. This will add a delightful crunch to each mouthful.
Serve and Enjoy: Transfer the pasta to a plate, and if you like, a sprinkle of extra sesame seeds or a dash of black pepper can make it look even more inviting!
Chef’s secrets
For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a splash of soy sauce when mixing the pasta and mushrooms.
Feel free to experiment with different types of mushrooms, like shiitake or oyster, for a unique twist!
